OK, I have to be honest...It’s no joke when I say that I have a touch of A.D.D. and this is evident when it comes to decorating. I am always going in different directions until I am happy with the “feel “of things. Our home at one time was primitive country. I loved it but a trip to the local IKEA got me thinking about making a change. Out with the old and in with the new was a challenge and I could never get that comfortable feel that we loved. I struggled through different paints, pieces of furniture, artwork. You name it I tried it! Needless to say all the different changes that have taken place the last couple of years have made my husband’s head spin from time to time. He likes to tell people that we have painted our walls so much that we lost square footage (sad thing is ... he's probably right). Anyway, to make a really long story short, I started surfing the different blogs and let me just say that there are so many talented people with great ideas that I just couldn’t help but get inspired. So what is next for the Crews household you ask? That would be French Country Chic or at least my take on it. All of that being said I will be attempting to make changes to some of the old and integrate some new. It’s all trial and error until I get it right. As I go I will post some pics of what I have done. Feel free to leave me a comment & tell me what you think.
LOL!!! I have the same ADD affliction!! :)
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my friend yesterday that I get so mad at myself and the amount of money I waste 'trying' out different looks! I know what I like, a worn, warm cottage feel (without clutter) and I like dark reds and sage greens...why do I insist on trying different things when I always go back to a similar look and feel.
Anywho...great blog!! I'm a new follower! :)
